Dale Bildhauer was diagnosed with colon cancer and underwent surgery followed by five weeks of radiation and five months of chemotherapy. The treatments shrunk the tumor which was removed in a second surgery. He continued to work through treatment as a live-in custodian at Gannon University when he felt strong enough.
