British actor Heather Peace has been on the popular BBC soap EastEnders since 2021 and recently disclosed her breast cancer diagnosis. She underwent surgery during a Christmas break from filming and concluded chemotherapy last month. The producers of the show told her she could take time off, but she was determined to wrap up an important storyline for her character getting married. "I said, 'I need to come in' because at this point, I don’t know what’s going to happen. And I want to finish this arc of the story." Her character has not been featured much since that story concluded, but is scheduled to return to next week's episode.
