Joy Swearingen - September 2025
Regan Pflasterer was diagnosed with cancer after discovering a seven centimeter cystic solid lesion on her brain. She took time off of work while she underwent radiation and chemotherapy. After six months, she returned in a slightly different role. Prior to treatment she drove a forklift, but her license was pulled because of treatment side effects she experienced and she was put on light duty instead.
"It was good to have tasks to keep me active and build my strength. I was finally able to convince the doctors that I no longer needed light duty and was able to get back my license."
