Navigating Work After Diagnosis (9:45 AM PT) - 2.25 CEs/CNEs/PDCs
Where do you find the information you need to make a plan of action for working after a cancer diagnosis? Do you have to disclose your diagnosis to your employer? Are you concerned about managing side effects at work? How can you best communicate your needs at work? This session will prepare you with practical tips, communication strategies, an overview of the ADA’s reasonable accommodations and so much more.
Job Hunting in 2022 (12:45 PM PT) - 1.5 CEs/CNEs/PDCs
There are many considerations when job searching, and even more when doing so after a cancer diagnosis. In this session we will address tools and techniques for resume and cover letter writing, approaches to networking and virtual interviewing, how to address the challenges of looking for work during or after treatment, and the many additional aspects that go into job hunting in the current climate.
Career Shifting: Tips, Tools & Techniques (2:30 PM PT) - 1 CE/CNE/PDC
A cancer experience can often a inspire a desire for change or it can require it. Have you become interested in exploring a new career path or do you need to? This session will provides tools for approaching the process of shifting careers, including assessing yourself and your transferrable skills, identifying obstacles and opportunities, and more.
