While CAC supports people across all tumor types, industries, and roles, we’re grateful every year to be included in some incredible brands’ Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities. This year, we have some wonderful partnerships to share that let you support Cancer and Careers’ work while treating yourself to something nice! We’re thrilled to welcome back SAVOIR Beauty and to introduce new partners SKIN UNION and June Thirtieth, who are all generously supporting Cancer and Careers this October, raising awareness and making spending on skincare and fragrance a force for good.
This year’s partners include brands with deeply personal ties to cancer. SKIN UNION is launching this month with skincare solutions for people undergoing cancer treatment. June Thirtieth, a fragrance house rooted in memory, was created in honor of a loved one lost to cancer. And earlier this month, Colleen Rothschild Beauty, founded by breast cancer survivor Colleen Rothschild, kicked off the season by donating a portion of every purchase on October 4–5 to Cancer and Careers.
We hope you will treat yourself knowing that your purchase will fuel everyday help for patients and survivors, including free webinars, educational events, publications, and one-on-one support from social workers. You'll not only provide much needed funds, but also send the message that you stand with CAC’s community navigating life, work, and cancer.
We also want to thank our returning nonprofit partner, GoodToday. On October 30th, GoodToday will feature Cancer and Careers initiatives to its community and beyond.
Lastly, we want to share a special thank you to Kendra Scott, LoveShackFancy, and Melissa Gonzalez for helping us get a head start in September. Kendra Scott SoHo hosted an evening of shopping and conversation on work and cancer, moderated by CAC Board Chair Jenny B. Fine, with CAC Executive Director Rebecca V. Nellis, CAC Board Member Nancy Berger, and longtime champion Laura Geller. LoveShackFancy SoHo welcomed us for a one-year anniversary celebration of Melissa Gonzalez’s The Purpose Pivot, a book born from her own medical emergency about trusting your intuition to guide what’s next in work and life. A portion of proceeds from both evenings benefited Cancer and Careers, and we’re so grateful.
