This past Wednesday, September 15th, members of the Cancers and Careers team traveled to Miami, Florida for our Balancing Cancer and Careers Seminar at the Westin Coral Gables Hotel. It was an interesting night as panelists and participants exchanged information and tools on issues related to employment law, the benefits of working through treatment and practical suggestions for the workplace. We were also lucky to have our very own career coach, Kathleen Flora, in the audience to comment on the night's event.
Our panel of experts for the evening included:

- Dr. Caio Max Rocha-Lima, Professor of Medicine, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine
- Joanna Morales, Esq., Director, Cancer Legal Resource Center
