The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has published a report on Cancer in the Workplace to assess the challenges that cancer poses for employers, examine workplace policies and practices to address the needs of those affected by the disease, and to explore possible measures to strengthen workplace support. The report is based on a survey of 500 executives, from around the world, looking at information on their companies approach to cancer in the workplace, as well as in-depth interviews with experts on caner in the workplace, including Cancer and Careers' very own chief mission officer, Rebecca V. Nellis. 

The main findings of the research include: 

• The significance of cancer for employers is set to continue to rise.
• Some organizations are introducing innovative policies around cancer.
• There is room to improve workplace support for employees affected by cancer.
• Employers can take action to address cancer in the workplace.

By examining the rise of cancer survival along with the current employer policies around cancer, the report examines a possible path towards strengthening workplace support for those affected by cancer.
