Actress Busy Philipps discovered a brain tumor this past February. One of her first questions to her medical team was how soon could she get to work after she recovered? The morning of her scan, she got the news that she had been offered a role on a new CBS television series Cupertino. Initially she kept her diagnosis private because she was worried about losing her job. 

The tumor was successfully surgically removed but a few months later, Philipps developed an infection in her wound which landed her back in the hospital and required a second surgery. Following that second surgery she "bounced right back." She's been busy filming Cupertino which premieres next month.
