Actress Constance Zimmer revealed she was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ, often called DCIS or stage 0 breast cancer, in March. She was notified by her doctor over the phone while traveling on a press tour for the FX series Love Story. She kept her diagnosis private during the entire tour, but disclosed her diagnosis in an Instagram post this week. She underwent three surgeries over the span of three weeks. She has been cancer free for the past 7 months.
"During all of this I was out on a very public press tour for Love Story, while keeping my diagnosis and treatment private. I then followed my surgeries with radiation, while celebrating my Emmy Nomination."
