Pilot Air Freight has been ordered to pay $400,000 to settle a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for violating the Americans with Disabilities Act by firing an employee 10 days after they took a medical leave of absence. HR Dive quoted CAC's 2023 Harris Poll survey in their story which found more than a third (35%) of adults diagnosed with cancer who are employed full/part time feel that, in general, those with cancer face stigma in the workplace. However the study also showed that 74% felt confident about their job security and 73% felt that their employer had their best interest in mind.
