There have been a lot of stories covering JP Morgan's CEO, James Dimon's, disclosure of a throat cancer diagnosis and treatment over the past couple of months. The Wall Street Journal published an update that goes in-depth about the impact that the diagnosis and treatment have had on Dimon's work life.
Dimon just finished 8 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy, during which he stayed fairly active at JP Morgan, going to work almost everyday for at least a few hours. Dimon said that he would rest and go home early when he needed to, and that there were days that were completely consumed by treatment. In discussing the next steps of his cancer journey, Dimon said "'I feel fine, but I'm prepared. I know I'll have to do a lot of recovery,' he said. 'I won't do a lot of traveling, but my schedule is growing. I'm going to [continue to] take care of myself first.'"
