After being diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer — around the holidays, no less — Kimberly Bailey found she had a lot of time on her hands to reflect on life. And she started to look at it differently. It stirred in her a desire to return to her artistic roots.

It’s not uncommon for people with cancer to take stock of their life in a way they haven’t before, to reassess where they’ve been and where they’re going.
