After being diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer — around the holidays, no less — Kimberly Bailey found she had a lot of time on her hands to reflect on life. And she started to look at it differently. As writer Sahaj Kohli writes on HuffPost, Bailey also spent some of that time watching cake shows on TV — and noticing how much fun the participants were having. It stirred in her a desire to return to her artistic roots.
It’s not uncommon for people with cancer to take stock of their life in a way they haven’t before, to reassess where they’ve been and where they’re going.
