WHEN SERIOUS ILLNESS COMES TO WORK - ACCREDITATION INFORMATION & FAQS

SHRM Accreditation

Cancer and Careers is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. This program is valid for 1.5 PDCs for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org.

PDC Requirements

If you plan on requesting PDCs for this webinar program, you MUST complete all of the following steps: 

  1. Register for the live webinar presentation here. After registering, you will receive an email confirming purchase.
  2. An email with login information will be sent the week preceding the webinar.
  3. An email with links to a post-session test and an evaluation form will be sent to attendees the day after the webinar.If you do not receive this email within 2 business days of the event, please email cancerandcareers@cew.org
  4. Both the post-session test and evaluation form must be completed and submitted within two weeks of the date that the webinar was held. (i.e. December 24th, 2019)
  5. You must pass the post-session test with a score of 80% or higher. Scores area calculated manually by our staff after the post-test closes so are not displayed upon completion of the post-test.
  6. You will be notified via email of your status in qualifying for PDCs no later than six weeks after the date of the webinar. (i.e. January 21, 2020)

Attendees who meet attendance standards may also request a general certificate of attendance (No PDC credit.)

FAQs

  • How do I access the webinar?
  • When Serious Illness Comes to Work: Building Supportive Environments will be presented via GoToWebinar which can be accessed through most web browsers or via easily downloadable software. Please visit GoToWebinar’s Support Page and type in “System Requirements for Attendees” in the search window to confirm you will be able to access the webinar.

    Login information will be shared via email in the days leading up to the event.

  • Is my purchase refundable?
  • If you are unable to attend the live webinar and do not wish to view a recording, fees will be refunded at 100% up to 5 business days before the event (i.e. prior to 11:59 PM ET on Tuesday, December 3, 2020). Cancellation requests should be emailed to cancerandcareers@cew.org.

    Webinars are 0% refundable if cancelled 0-4 business days prior to the event (i.e. after 12:00 AM ET on Wednesday, December 4th).

  • If I am unable to attend the live event, will a recording be made available?
  • If you are unable to attend the live event and do not receive/are ineligible to request a refund you will be allowed to access to a recording of the webinar, which will be available for 30 days following the live event (i.e. until January 9, 2020). To request access to this webinar, please email cancerandcareers@cew.org. Please note that only live events are accredited for PDCs.
