Navigating Work After Diagnosis (9:30 AM CT) - 2.25 CEs/CNEs/PDCs
Where do you find the information you need to make a plan of action for working after a cancer diagnosis? Do you have to disclose your diagnosis to your employer? Are you concerned about managing side effects at work? How can you best communicate your needs at work? This session will prepare you with practical tips, communication strategies, an overview of the ADA’s reasonable accommodations and so much more.
Job Hunting in 2023 (12:45 PM CT) - 1.5 CEs/CNEs/PDCs
There are many considerations when job searching, and even more when doing so after a cancer diagnosis. In this session we will address tools and techniques for resume and cover letter writing, approaches to networking and virtual interviewing, how to address the challenges of looking for work during or after treatment, and the many additional aspects that go into job hunting in the current climate.
Self-Care: Practical Approaches at Work & Beyond (2:30 PM CT) - 1 CE/CNE/PDC
What exactly is “self-care” and why is it important? This session will help you explore and identify practical approaches to self-care that work best for you, as well as ways to build self-care habits into your work week and personal life.
