Navigating Work & Cancer: Effective Strategies (9:30 AM CT) - 2.25 CEs/CNEs/PDCs
There are many employment-related questions to consider after a cancer diagnosis, and each person’s path will be different based on their treatment, personal and work circumstances. In this session, you will hear critical information and practical guidance for addressing your unique needs, including thinking through disclosure, tips for balancing treatment and work, dos and don’ts for an effective job search, communication strategies (including “The Swivel”), managing side effects and so much more.
Job Hunting in 2026 (12:30 PM CT) - 1.5 CEs/CNEs/PDCs
There are many considerations when job searching, and even more when doing so after a cancer diagnosis. Coupled with the current state of the job market, there are many factors to consider. In this session we will address tools and techniques for resume and cover letter writing, approaches to networking and virtual interviewing, how to address the challenges of looking for work during or after treatment, and the many additional aspects that go into job hunting in the current climate.
Job Search Tools: Using AI Strategically (2:15 PM CT) - 1.25 CE/CNE/PDC
Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to expand and improve, with new platforms and functions to explore. With that comes the need to learn how to use these new tools strategically and for your benefit. This session will take a practical look at using AI in your job search by explaining what AI is, and isn’t, and demonstrating how to use it. Attendees will learn which AI platforms exist, best practices for using AI and more!
