News channel KOB 4 in New Mexico reports an inspiring story of coworkers who are supporting a young breast cancer patient at the Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office. Julie Sanchez, who was diagnosed in Stage II last May, is unable to work due to treatment side effects, but colleagues have rallied to provide both emotional and practical support.
"All around the office, there are signs of support - like pink ribbons and decorations letting Julie know they're all rooting for her. They even made t-shirts to wear around the office. 'There is a full door that has my name,' said Julie. The support she's getting is more than just symbolic. Her co-workers have been donating vacation time so she can still get a paycheck."
